Recording of The Medical Student Orientation Available

On Saturday, August 8th the English Fellowship of Guadalajara sponsored an informational orientation for medical school students in Guadalajara, Mexico.

The event was held at Pastor Ray De Lange’s house and lasted for a few hours.

The time was broken into 2 parts:

Getting to know Guadalajara
Surviving the Medical School.

Angie De Lange led the first part, going over information that she compiled about life in Guadalajara.

The second part included helpful information about the Universidad de Autonoma Medical School from current medical students Henry and Melinda.

For your convenience, we recorded the orientation so that anyone who wasn’t able to attend or would like to hear it again could do so.

Finally! Some Sermon Updates

Sermons have just been added to the sermon page up through the first week of July. Pastor Ray has been preaching on the book of Philippians throughout June and into July.

The remaining sermons will be on their way as soon as possible to get you current.

Expect that the sermon page will be updated on a more regular basis in the future; hopefully during the week following Sunday’s service.

The best way to be notified when new sermons are added is to subscribe to our podcast. More information about how to do this can be found on the “sermons” page.

Automatic Translation Now Available

Now, automatic translations are available for those of you that want to see our site in Spanish. Keep in mind that since the translation is done by a machine, there will be tons of errors, but at least now there is the option.

To translate this web site, look on the right hand site and you will see the “Translate to Spanish” tab. Click on the where it says “Google Translate” and choose your language. Once you choose the language the page will automatically be translated.

We have just added three of Pastor Ray’s sermons to the web site. You can now download them as well. Also, you will notice that two of them have the accompanying fill-in-the-blank hand-outs given at church. We are working at getting the third one.

New Sermons Added and Fixes To Come

We have started to add sermons to our web site. Currently we are experiencing technical issues with getting them to play and are aware of the problem. This will hopefully be fixed very soon.

Eventually, we will be uploading all the sermons that Pastor Ray has preached in Guadalajara thus far. They will be downloadable and you will be able to subscribe to any future sermons.

You will notice that we have included the bible text which is from the English Standard Version of the bible. For your convenience you may also listen to the passage read aloud by clicking on the “Listen” button to the right of the audio player bar.

We have also included on each page, a handy way for you to listen to the 3 latest sermons from the front or any other pages of the web site. Currently, the sermons are not playing and the links directing you to each sermon are not working correctly. This will be fixed as soon as possible as well.

Lastly, in the near future we will be adding the handout fill-in-the-blanks sheets that our regular church body has become accustomed to. You will notice the download link right underneath the audio sermon player bar. We will provide these documents in the .doc or docx format (Microsoft Word) for you to follow along with or print out and fill in.

It is our hope that these tools will help you draw closer to God as you experience His Word.
